122 ABSTRAKT Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou antiopresivních a antidiskriminačních přístupů v souvislosti s vysokými školami v České republice. Konkrétně se práce zaměřuje na zahraniční studenty a vliv diskriminace na jejich studijní úspěch a každodenní život. V kontextu globalizace, která s sebou přináší migraci a nárůst diverzity v prostředí vysokých škol, práce analyzuje bariéry, jimž zahraniční studenti čelí. Dále se práce zabývá hodnocením efektivity podpůrných mechanismů vybraných univerzit z hlediska zajištění rovného přístupu v rámci akademické obce. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a empirickou část, přičemž teoretická část vymezuje klíčové pojmy, zejména diskriminaci, opresi a inkluzi, přičemž tyto pojmy zasazuje do širšího legislativního a sociálního rámce. Důraz je kladen na koncepty antiopresivních a antidiskriminačních přístupů a přístup empowerment (zplnomocnění), které slouží jako teoretická východiska pro řešení mocenských nerovnováh. Text se rovněž věnuje systémovému ukotvení cizinecké problematiky v České republice a roli interkulturní práce jako specifické profese, která napomáhá překonávat sociokulturní a jazykové bariéry mezi majoritní společností a minoritami. Empirická část práce vychází z kvantitativního výzkumného šetření, které bylo realizováno metodou anonymního... 124 ABSTRACT This thesis deals with the issue of anti-oppressive and anti-discriminatory approaches in relation to universities in the Czech Republic. Specifically, the thesis focuses on foreign students and the impact of discrimination on their academic and social experiences. In the context of globalization, which brings migration and increased diversity to higher education institutions, the thesis analyzes the barriers faced by foreign students. Furthermore, the thesis evaluates the effectiveness of support mechanisms at selected universities with regard to ensuring equal access in the academic community. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part, with the theoretical part defining key concepts, particularly discrimination, oppression, and inclusion, placing these concepts in a broader legislative and social framework. Emphasis is placed on the concepts of anti-oppressive and anti-discriminatory approaches and empowerment, which serve as theoretical starting points for addressing power imbalances. The text also addresses the systemic anchoring of foreigner issues in the Czech Republic and the role of intercultural work as a specific profession that helps to overcome socio-cultural and language barriers between the majority society and minorities.
