eng Abstract:
[eng][cze] A notable source of nitrogen oxides (NOx) is lightning, a process that involves the ioni- sation of air and subsequent oxidation of molecular nitrogen into nitric oxide (NO). The resulting lightning-produced NO (LNOx) undergoes complex chemical transformations that can lead to the formation of tropospheric ozone and other secondary species. This thesis investigates the long-term impact of lightning-generated NOx emissions on tropo- spheric chemistry over Central Europe. Using a chemical transport model simulation, we quantify the long-term influence (2007-2016) of lightning NOx on selected atmospheric pollutants. The results show that lightning significantly enhances upper-tropospheric NOx concentrations and contributes to small increases in ozone production, particularly during the convective season. Výsledný NO vzniklý bleskem ("lightning" NO, LNOx) prochází složitými chemickými přeměnami, které mohou vést k tvorbě troposférického ozonu a dalších sekundárních látek. Výsledky ukazují, že blesky významně zvyšují koncentrace NOx v horní troposféře a přispívají k mírnému zvýšení produkce ozonu, zejména během konvektivní sezóny. 1
