Btrfs is a modern Linux file system that uses B-trees as its underlying data structure and offers advanced features such as copy-on-write, fast snapshots, subvolumes, and transparent compression. Currently, its only complete implementation is in the Linux kernel. HelenOS is a microkernel multiserver operating system. Its kernel mainly handles inter-process communication, while all other functionality, such as file systems, VFS, and drivers, runs as user space applications. The goal of this thesis is to support Btrfs in HelenOS. Due to the large scale of Btrfs, we are limiting ourselves to a read-only implementation and omitting optional features of the file system. The resulting file system driver allows HelenOS users to mount a Btrfs-formatted disk and read its content. It is limited to single-device file systems and does not support transparent compression. The code is based on the btrfs-fuse project and is designed to be merged into mainline HelenOS. Btrfs je moderní souborový systém pro Linux využívající B-stromy jako svoji hlavní datovou strukturu. Disponuje pokročilými funkcemi, jako jsou copy-on-write, vytváření snímků (snapshots), dílčí svazky (subvolumes) a transparentní komprese. V současnosti se jediná úplná implementace Btrfs nachází v Linuxovém jádře. HelenOS je mikrojádrový multiserverový operační systém. Samotné jádro HelenOS řeší hlavně meziprocesovou komunikaci, zatímco ostatní funkce - ovladače, souborové systémy apod. - jsou poskytovány samostatnými nezávislými aplikacemi. Tato práce přidává do HelenOS podporu pro Btrfs. Vzhledem ke složitosti Btrfs se omezíme pouze na čtení a vynecháme volitelné funkce tohoto souborového systému. Výsledkem naší práce je ovladač umožňující uživatelům HelenOS připojit a přečíst obsah Btrfs disků. Ovladač je omezen na jednodiskové instance Btrfs a nepodporuje některé volitelné funkce, například transparentní kompresi. Jeho kód vychází z projektu btrfs-fuse a je připraven k začlenění do hlavní větve HelenOS.
