The present study deals with the phenomenon of contemporary populism against the background of ongoing debates about the nature of post-truth. Through a case study of the political subject Smer-SD, it analyzes the relationship of the populist actor to truth, while relying on the discursive analysis of Michel Foucault. The main goal is to reconstruct the internal logic of populist discourse using the concepts of parrhesia, truth formulae, and regime of truth. The analysis shows that Smer, under the leadership of Robert Fico, uses acts of bold public truth-telling (parrhesia) to define itself against the established regime of truth, which it discursively frames as a hostile network of elites. The party's credibility in this process fixes itself upon the person of the leader as a model parrhesiast, who embodies truth in the name of the ordinary person. The study further clarifies how populist discourse handles diverse types of truths, from politically constructed common sense (ordinary truth), through the arbitrary incorporation of facts (veridical truth), to a broader all-absorbing narrative (symbolic truth). The findings suggest that the strength of the populist regime of truth lies primarily in the blurring of boundaries between everyday and symbolic truth. This process leads to the creation of a... Práca sa zaoberá fenoménom súčasného populizmu na pozadí prebiehajúcich debát o povahe post-pravdy. Prostredníctvom prípadovej štúdie politického subjektu Smer-SD analyzuje vzťah populistického aktéra k pravde, pričom sa opiera o diskurzívnu analýzu Michela Foucaulta. Hlavným cieľom je zrekonštruovať vnútornú logiku populistického diskurzu s využitím konceptov parrhesie, pravdivostných formúl a režimu pravdy. Analýza ukazuje, že Smer pod vedením Roberta Fica využíva akty odvážneho verejného vypovedania (parrhesiu) na vyhranenie sa voči etablovanému režimu pravdy, ktorý diskurzívne rámcuje ako nepriateľskú sieť elít. Dôveryhodnosť strany sa v tomto procese fixuje na osobu lídra ako vzorového parrhésiastu, ktorý stelesňuje pravdu v mene obyčajného človeka. Štúdia ďalej objasňuje, ako populistický diskurz narába s rôznymi typmi právd, od politicky konštruovaného zdravého rozumu (obyčajná pravda), cez ľubovoľnú inkorporáciu faktov (veridická pravda) až po širší všeabsorbujúci naratív (symbolická pravda). Zistenia naznačujú, že sila populistického režimu pravdy spočíva predovšetkým v stieraní hraníc medzi každodennou a symbolickou pravdou.
