[eng][cze] Every complex algebra of a finite group can be decomposed into a direct product of matrix algebras. This decomposition is called the Artin-Wedderburn decomposition. To each matrix algebra corresponds exactly one (up to isomorphism) simple module whose dimension is equal to the size of the matrices (i.e., the number of rows or columns of the matrices). For symmetric groups, this decomposition can be found using so-called Specht modules, which form a complete system of simple modules. A Specht module has a basis consisting of standard polytabloids. The main goal of this work is to find a way to determine the Artin-Wedderburn decomposition of any complex algebra of symmetric groups. For this purpose, the so-called hook-length formula is used, which calculates the dimension of a Specht module.
