Bakalářská práce se zabývá tím, jak mladí lidé v České republice, kteří se neúčastní voleb ani jiných konvenčních forem politické participace, popisují vlastní místo v občanské společnosti. Vychází z literatury o politické participaci mladých, konceptu latentní participace a narativního pojetí identity. Empirická část stojí na tematické analýze devíti polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s občany České republiky ve věku 21 až 29 let, kteří vynechali některé z posledních voleb prvního řádu či sami pracují s označením nevolič. Analýza sleduje, jak respondenti vykládají vztah k politice, občanství, volební účasti a dalším formám veřejného zapojení. Z rozhovorů vychází, že volební neúčast u zkoumaných respondentů se často pojí s negativním obrazem politiky, pocitem slabé účinnosti vlastního hlasu, informační únavou a nízkou prioritizací politiky. Většinou ale neznamená odpojení se od občanské společnosti a respondenti převážně nevylučují návrat k volební účasti. Práce tak představuje explorativní sondu do heterogenní skupiny mladých nevoličů v České republice. This bachelor's thesis examines how young people in the Czech Republic who do not participate in elections or other conventional forms of political participation describe their own place in civil society. It draws on the literature on youth political participation, the concept of latent participation, and the narrative conception of identity. The empirical section is based on a thematic analysis of nine semi-structured interviews with citizens of the Czech Republic aged 21 to 29 who skipped some of the most recent general elections or identify themselves as non-voters. The analysis examines how respondents interpret their relationship to politics, citizenship, voter turnout, and other forms of public engagement. The interviews reveal that non-voting among the respondents is often linked to a negative view of politics, a sense that their own vote has little impact, information fatigue, and a low prioritization of politics. For the most part, however, it does not signify a disengagement from civil society, and they generally do not rule out a return to voting. The study thus offers an exploratory look into a heterogeneous group of young non-voters in the Czech Republic.
