Tyto pacientky podstoupily IVF v Centru asistované reprodukce Kliniky gynekologie, porodnictví a neonatologie 1. LF UK a VFN v Praze v letech 2019-2020. Hodnocení časné ztráty gravidity bylo omezeno velmi...The aim of this thesis is to evaluate whether body weight expressed by the Body Mass Index influences the success rate of infertility treatment using in vitro fertilization (IVF). The theoretical part focuses on the issue of infertility, summarizes the basic principles of in vitro fertilization, and describes modern methods of assessing nutritional status, with particular emphasis on BMI and its limitations. The practical part was conducted as a retrospective analysis of data from 80 patients, who were divided into four groups according to their BMI. These patients underwent IVF treatment at the Center for Assisted Reproduction of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Neonatology, First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and General University Hospital in Prague, between 2019 and 2020. The primary outcome parameter was the achievement of clinical pregnancy. Additionally, implantation rate, biochemical pregnancy, and early pregnancy loss were evaluated. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and the chi-square (χš) test of independence was applied to selected parameters. The results demonstrated a statistically significant relationship between BMI and the achievement of clinical pregnancy (p = 0,044), with decreasing success observed as BMI increased. In terms of...
