Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu nástěnné malby alegorie zákona a milosti v ambitu dominikánského kláštera v Českých Budějovicích. Rozeberu malbu v širších souvislostech, tzn. dobu vzniku na základě analogií a stylu. Nejzásadnější bude snaha o zjistit objednavatele malby, jelikož se jedná o epitaf. Budu si klást otázky ohledně námětu, který spadá do luterského učení víry a je nutné uvést souvislost v českém prostředí, dále otázky stylové stránky, datace, kulturních a historických okolností. Cílem bude zasazení nástěnné malby do kontextu historie kláštera, pokus o přiblížení nejen donátorů, ale i samotného autora malby, a nakonec rozebrat v širším kontextu ikonografii námětu. Klíčová slova Nástěnná malba, dominikánský klášter, České Budějovice, renesance, Alegorie zákona a milosti, Martin Luther This bachelor thesis focuses on the theme of the wall painting of the allegory of Law and Grace in the cloister of the Dominican monastery in České Budějovice. I will analyse the painting in a broader context, namely the time of its creation on the basis of analogies and style. Most importantly, I will try to find out the commissioner of the painting, since it is intended to be an epitaph. I will be asking questions about the subject matter, which falls within the Lutheran doctrine of faith and the need to provide a context in the Czech environment, as well as questions of style, dating, cultural and historical circumstances. The aim will be to place the wall painting in the context of the history of the monastery, to try to approach not only the donors but also the author of the painting, and finally to discuss the iconography of the subject in a wider context.
