Tato diplomová práce zkoumá chování při vyhledávání perinatální péče (maternal health seeking behaviour) žen z Latinské Ameriky v ČR. Cílem práce bylo porozumět tomuto chování, identifikovat jeho klíčové determinanty a navrhnout doporučení pro inkluzivnější a kulturně senzitivnější péči v českém systému perinatální péče. Za účelem splnění cíle práce bylo provedeno devět polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se ženami z Latinské Ameriky, které v posledních pěti letech prožily těhotenství anebo porod v ČR. Získaná data byla tematicky analyzována. Teoretickým pozadím práce byla teorie chování při vyhledávání zdravotní péče a koncept kulturní senzitivity. Bylo zjištěno, že chování zkoumaných žen z Latinské Ameriky při vyhledávání perinatální péče bylo ovlivněno jejich očekáváními technické správnosti péče a empatického přístupu zdravotníků a zkušenostmi, které těmto očekáváním neodpovídají. Rozdíly mezi očekáváním a realitou často vedly k omezení vyhledávání péče v českém systému nebo k jejímu vyhledání v zahraničí. Umožňující faktory v přístupu k péči se opírají zejména o osobní zdroje partnera migrantek. Bariéry v přístupu k péči mají převážně strukturální charakter a souvisí s omezenou jazykovou vybaveností systému a vnímanou nízkou úrovní soft skills zdravotnických pracovníků. Na základě těchto zjištění... This thesis examines the maternal health-seeking behaviour of women from Latin America in the Czech Republic. The aim of the study was to understand this behaviour, identify its key determinants, and propose recommendations for more inclusive and culturally sensitive care within the Czech perinatal care system. To achieve the thesis's objective, nine semi-structured interviews were conducted with women from Latin America who had experienced pregnancy or childbirth in the Czech Republic over the past five years. The collected data has been analysed thematically. The theoretical framework of the thesis was based on health-seeking behaviour theory and the concept of cultural sensitivity. It was found that the behaviour of the interviewed Latin American women in seeking perinatal care was influenced by their expectations of technical accuracy in care and an empathetic approach from healthcare providers, as well as by experiences that did not meet these expectations. Discrepancies between expectations and reality often led to a reduction in seeking care within the Czech system or to seeking care abroad.
