cze Abstract:
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the comparison of Czechoslovak and Polish samizdat periodicals and book editions from 1982-1989. Its aim is to identify similarities and differences in their content from political, cultural and societal perspective through qualitative analysis. It deals with the form and content of individual publications, as well as the ways in which Czechoslovak and Polish samizdat informed about one another. In Czechoslovakia, illegal publications were a matter of a very narrow group of dissidents. The character of the samizdat also fit this definition most of the times. Most publications were manually typed on a typewriter and published in very low numbers of copies. In contrast, the Polish samizdat had a significantly wider character and impact on the society. The bachelor's thesis also attempts to approach the phenomenon of samizdat from the perspective of typologies of resistance against the communist regime. Nowadays, there are many interpretations of this term. At first glance, the theory of social resistance by Łukasz Kamiński's theory seems to be the most suitable. However, samizdat, with its specifics does not fully correspond with the definition. The same result is also evident with the typology by other authors. Overall, it becomes clear that none of the presented theories...
