Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na televizní seriály v kontextu každodennosti. Zkoumá, jakým způsobem sledování seriálů ovlivňuje denní rutinu, emoce, chování a sociální interakce pravidelných diváků. Teoretická část se věnuje ukotvení mýdlové opery jako žánru, jejímu historickému vývoji a charakteristice publika. Dále se zabývá způsoby interpretace a konzumace seriálů, tvorbou významu a motivacemi ke sledování. Z metodologického hlediska byl výzkumný vzorek získán pomocí účelového výběru, sběr dat probíhal deníčkovou metodou doplněnou o krátké demografické dotazníky. Data byla zpracována pomocí kvalitativní tematické analýzy. Výsledky ukazují, že sledování seriálu Ulice tvoří významnou součást každodenního života diváků a představuje stabilní prvek jejich večerní rutiny. Ovlivňuje organizaci času, emoční prožívání i sociální interakce. Sledování je často do spojeno s rituály a bývá kombinováno s rutinními činnostmi. Přestože moderní platformy umožňují flexibilitu, přetrvává tendence k pravidelnému sledování. Seriál zároveň vyvolává široké spektrum emocí a zůstává přítomen v myšlenkách i mimo dobu vysílání. This bachelor's thesis focuses on television series in the context of everyday life. It examines how watching series influences the daily routines, emotions, behaviour, and social interactions of regular viewers. The theoretical section is devoted to the definition of soap opera as a genre, its historical development, and the characteristics of the audience. It further examines the ways in which series are interpreted and consumed, the construction of meaning, and the motivations for watching. From a methodological perspective, the research sample was collected through purposive sampling, and data were collected using the diary method with added short demographic questionnaires. Diary data were analyzed using qualitative thematic analysis. The results show that watching the TV series Ulice is an important part of the everyday lives of viewers and a stable part of their evening routine. It influences how people organize their time, their emotional experiences, and their social interactions. Watching is often linked to rituals and combined with everyday activities. Although modern platforms allow for more flexibility, people still tend to watch regularly. The series also brings up a lot of different emotions and stays in minds of viewers even when they're not watching.
