This thesis deals with classification, focusing on the evaluation of classifi- cation methods using ROC curves. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the performance of various classification methods, assess their quality, and examine how they perform on different datasets. The thesis also includes a summary of the properties of ROC curves, their construction, and the area under the curve as a measure of classifier quality. The outcome of the thesis is the application of the mentioned classification methods to selected datasets and real-world in- surance data. It also includes the implementation of the proposed procedures in Python. 1 Táto práca sa zaoberá klasifikáciou so zameraním na hodnotenie klasifikačných metód pomocou ROC kriviek. Cieľom práce je analyzovať výkonnosť rôznych klasifikačných metód, posúdiť ich kvalitu a pozrieť sa, ako fungujú pri rôznych dátach. Súčasťou práce je aj zhrnutie vlastností ROC kriviek, ich konštrukcie a plochy pod krivkou ako miery kvality klasifikátora. Výsledkom práce je aplikácia uvedených klasifikačných metód na vybrané datasety a reálne dáta z poisťovníctva. Súčasťou je aj implementácia navrhnutých postupov v jazyku Python. 1
