Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá Humeovým skeptickým přístupem k náboženství a jeho vlivem na pojetí náboženské tolerance. Analýza práce vychází z děl Dialogy o přirozeném náboženství, Pojednání o lidské přirozenosti a Zkoumání o lidském rozumu. Práce demonstruje, že Hume odmítá absolutní metafyzické jistoty a náboženská tvrzení, která nelze podložit empirickou zkušeností. Tento skepticismus, typický pro britské osvícenství, tvoří základ jeho odmítnutí dogmatismu a dál vysvětluje jeho filosofický přístup vůči toleranci náboženských přesvědčení. The analysis is based on Dialogues Concerning Natural Religion, A Treatise of Human Nature, and An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding. It demonstrates that Hume rejects absolute metaphysical certainties and religious claims unsupported by experience. This scepticism, characteristic of the British Enlightenment, underpins his rejection of dogmatism and explains his philosophical approach to tolerance of religious beliefs.
