Tato diplomová práce se na základě konceptu Powerful Geography zabývá výběrem geografického učiva pro gymnázia z perspektivy odborníků z praxe. Hlavním cílem je na základě rozhovorů s odborníky z praxe identifikovat pro jejich profesi klíčové geografické znalosti, dovednosti a hodnoty, v práci označované anglickým termínem powerful geographical knowledge, a navrhnout rámec vzdělávacího obsahu v předmětu geografie na gymnáziích uplatnitelného v budoucí profesní praxi studentů. V teoretické části práce jsou definovány základní odborné termíny týkající se kurikula a jeho revize v českém prostředí, důraz je kladen na postavení geografie ve vzdělávacím systému. Empirická část práce byla zpracována pomocí dvou provázaných metod. Nejprve proběhlo dotazníkové šetření mapující kariérní aspirace, kterého se zúčastnilo 617 studentů posledních ročníků gymnázií. Na toto šetření následně navázalo 28 polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s vybranými odborníky na trhu práce, reprezentující nejčetnější profesní oblasti dle aspirací studentů. Získaná data poukazují na to, že odborníci v praxi kromě faktografického přehledu vysoce oceňují a uplatňují schopnost nahlížet na problémy v širších a prostorových souvislostech, dovednost zpracovávat a vizualizovat data (včetně GIS) a především zdůrazňují kognitivní dovednosti,... Based on the concept of Powerful Geography, this diploma thesis deals with the selection of geographical educational content for grammar schools from the perspective of professionals in practice. The main aim is, based on interviews with professionals in practice, to identify key geographical knowledge, skills, and values for their professions known as powerful geographical knowledge and to propose a framework for the educational content of the geography subject at grammar schools, which would be applicable in the students' future professional careers. The theoretical part of the thesis defines basic academic terms related to the curriculum and its revision in the Czech context, with an emphasis placed on the position of geography within the educational system. The empirical part of the thesis was conducted using two interconnected methods. First, a questionnaire survey mapping career aspirations was carried out, involving 617 students in their final years of grammar school. This survey was subsequently followed by 28 semi-structured interviews with selected professionals in the labour market, representing the most frequent professional fields according to the students' aspirations.
