Julie Scholzová Abstrakt Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na maskulinitu v rapu na současné české a slovenské alternativní hudební scéně. Cílem práce je analyzovat, jakým způsobem je konstruovaná maskulinita ve tvorbě a výpovědích zvolených rapperů; jak se vybraní rappeři vztahují k hegemonnímu pojetí maskulinity (například jaký vliv mělo ve výchově nebo jak se vůči němu vymezují) a zdali se na zvoleném výzkumném vzorku dají vysledovat rysy "rezistentních maskulinit". V teoretické části jsou představeny koncepty z mediálních studií, gender studies a sociologie. Nejprve stručně popisuje sociopolitický kontext hip hopové kultury a následně se věnuje definici genderu, která čerpá ze sociálního konstruktivismu a queer teorie. Konceptualizuje také patriarchát, patriarchální kulturu a teorie týkající se hegemonních, alternativních a rezistentních maskulinit. Teoretická část se zaměřuje především na spektrum maskulinit, které je následně zasazeno do kontextu rapové hudby. Pomocí tematické analýzy práce zkoumá šest polostrukturovaných hloubkových rozhovorů s vybranými rappery a šest vybraných hudebních textů. Hegemonní maskulinity se v datech projevují sexismem, patriarchální výchovou, mainstreamová kulturou a finančním úspěchem. Rezistentní maskulinity reflektují vlastní chování, rozdělení jazyka na základě... Julie Scholzová Abstract This bachelor's thesis depicts masculinity in rap in the contemporary Czech and Slovak alternative music scene. The paper aims to analyse how masculinity is constructed in artistic creations and interviews with selected rappers, how the rappers reflect the influence of hegemonic masculinity as the dominant force (for example, whether they registered it during their upbringing, or if they resist it) and if it is possible to trace the features of the "resistant masculinities" in the chosen research sample. The theoretical part draws from concepts of media studies, gender studies and sociology, which serve as a main tool for the following methodology. First, it depicts an overview of the sociopolitical context of hip hop and subsequently defines gender from socially constructivist standpoints as well as queer theory. It also conceptualises patriarchy, its culture, and theories regarding hegemonic, alternative and resistant masculinities. The primary focus of the theoretical part is the typology of masculinities, which is subsequently put in the context of rap music. By applying thematic analysis, the paper explores six semi-structured in-depth interviews with selected participants and six selected musical lyrics.
