Tato práce se zabývá ranou tvorbou Giovanniho Belliniho v souvislosti s uměleckým působením Jacopa Belliniho a Andrey Mantegni. Východiskem je historicko-umělecký kontext Benátek a severní Itálie v polovině 15. století, na nějž navazuje rozbor Belliniho rané malby, jejích témat, technik a kompozičníchprincipů. Jádro práce tvoří dvě případové studie obrazů Proměnění Páně a Mrtvý Kristus podpíraný dvěma anděly, v nichž je sledována kompozice, prostor, světlo, ikonografie i devoční význam. Na základě komparace s relevantními díly Jacopa Belliniho a Andrey Mantegni práce ukazuje, že Giovanni Bellini převzaté podněty nepřejímal mechanicky, ale postupně je proměňoval v osobitý výtvarný jazyk. Právě v raném období se tak začíná formovat styl založený na citlivější práci se světlem, atmosférou a duchovním účinkem obrazu. It begins with the historical and artistic context of Venice and northern Italy in the mid-fifteenth century and then turns to Bellini's early painting, its themes, techniques,and compositional principles.The core of the thesis consists of two case studies, The Transfiguration and Dead Christ Supported by Two Angels, focusing on composition, space, light, iconography, and devotional meaning. By comparing these paintings with relevant works by Jacopo Bellini and Andrea Mantegna, the thesis argues that Giovanni Bellini did not adopt external influences mechanically, but gradually transformed them into a distinctive pictorial language. His early works already reveal the emergence of a style grounded in a more sensitive treatment of light, atmosphere, and the spiritual effect of the image.
