Včasné a správně poskytnuté laické první pomoci může rozhodujícím způsobem zvýšit šanci na přežití u náhlých a život ohrožujících stavů. Ještě před příjezdem zdravotnické záchranné služby je to však právě běžná veřejnost, která musí být schopna adekvátně reagovat. Efektivita jejich zásahu přitom nezávisí pouze na technických dovednostech, ale také na předchozích zkušenostech, osobních postojích, míře jistoty v jednání a ochotě zasáhnout. Klíčovou roli hraje vzdělávání, které by mělo reflektovat nejen doporučené postupy, ale i reálné situace, s nimiž se laičtí zachránci nejčastěji setkávají. Cílem práce byla kritická literární rešerše zaměřená na zkušenosti laické veřejnosti s poskytováním první pomoci, včetně typických situací, se kterými se lidé setkávají, a faktorů ovlivňujících jejich jistotu a připravenost. Pozornost je věnována i bariérám a specifickým potřebám tří skupin: laiků, dobrovolných first responders a pedagogů. Výsledky poukazují, že laici se v praxi nejčastěji setkávají s drobnými úrazy, zatímco skutečně život ohrožující stavy zažívají jen zřídka. Výuka se proto záměrně soustředí na méně časté, avšak časově kritické situace, jako je bezvědomí, KPR a masivní krvácení. Pravidelné a prakticky orientované vzdělávání přitom zvyšuje jistotu laiků i kvalitu jejich zásahu a současně... Timely and properly delivered lay first aid can significantly increase the chances of survival in sudden and life-threatening conditions. Before emergency medical services arrive, it is the general public who must be able to respond adequately. The effectiveness of lay intervention depends not only on technical skills but also on prior experiences, personal attitudes, confidence in acting, and willingness to intervene. Education therefore plays a key role and should reflect not only recommended guidelines but also the real situations that lay responders most commonly encounter. The aim of this thesis was to conduct a critical literature review focusing on the experiences of the lay public in providing first aid, including typical situations people encounter and factors influencing their confidence and preparedness. Attention is also given to the barriers and specific needs of three groups: laypersons, voluntary first responders, and teachers. The findings indicate that laypeople most frequently encounter minor injuries, while truly life-threatening conditions are rare. For this reason, first aid training intentionally focuses on less frequent but time-critical situations such as unconsciousness, CPR, and severe bleeding.
