The electrochemical oxidation of new psychoactive substance 2-(((4-ethyl-2,5-dimethoxyphenethyl)amino)methyl)phenol and its reaction with reactive oxygen species was investigated using electrochemical, spectroelectrochemical, and chromatographic methods. Theoretical calculations and infrared spectroelectrochemical techniques significantly contributed to the determination of the reaction mechanism.
