Abstract: The work presented here systematically explores the analytical frameworks for characterising the long-term variability and directional trends of key atmospheric chemical constituents at a network of strategically selected background monitoring stations across the Czech Republic. Complementing\nthe chemical trend analysis, the study employs meteorological and trajectory-based approaches to delineate the relative contributions of possible emission pathways, regional and long-range transport of atmospheric pollutants across oceanic-continental boundaries.
