cze Abstract:
Klíčová slova:...Throughout their evolution, plants have had to adapt to constant pressure from natural enemies, including phytopathogens. In response to this selection pressure, they face an evolutionary trade-off between energy allocation for rapid growth and investment in defense mechanisms. Fast-growing competitive and ruderal species with weaker defenses host a broad spectrum of aggressive generalists and necrotrophs. By contrast, slow-growing stress-tolerators invest in strong protective barriers and are primarily attacked by specialized biotrophs. Phenology plays a key role here, acting as a functional expression of an ecological strategy shaping ontogenetic resistance. While biotrophic pathogens require strict synchronization with specific developmental phases of a living host, necrotrophs favor the colonization of senescent tissues. Ongoing climate change causes asynchronous shifts in the phenology of both interaction partners, leading to a phenological mismatch and the disruption of coevolutionary ties. Based on a synthesis of findings, a theoretical framework is presented, predicting the composition of pathogen communities within specific phenological windows (e.g., spring ephemeroids vs. late-summer herbs). This concept provides the theoretical basis for subsequent field and database research....
