Diplomová práce se zabývá podobou speciálního školství v Československu v šedesátých letech dvacátého století se zaměřením na žáky zvláštních škol a jejich učitele. Hlavním pramenným základem je odborný časopis Otázky defektologie, doplněný o dobová odborná skripta a archivní materiály, především z fondů ministerstva školství. Práce sleduje, jakým způsobem byl v odborném diskurzu konstruován obraz žáka a učitele zvláštní školy a jak se v těchto představách odrážely pedagogické, institucionální a ideologické přístupy socialistického Československa. The primary source material consists of the professional journal Questions of defectology, supplemented by contemporary textbooks and archival materials, primarily from the Ministry of Education's collections. The thesis examines how the image of the special school pupil and teacher was constructed in professional discourse and how these representations reflected the pedagogical, institutional and ideological approaches of socialist Czechoslovakia.
