Tato bakalářská práce je komentovaný překlad a skládá se ze dvou částí. První z nich je část praktická, kterou tvoří překlad vybrané kapitoly z publikace Être hôtesse de l'air ou steward francouzského autora Louis-Marie Barniera, ve které podrobně popisuje profesi palubního personálu. Druhá, teoretická část, sestává z odborného komentáře. Ten zahrnuje překladatelskou analýzu výchozího textu (dále VT) dle Christiane Nordové, popis fiktivní zakázky a metody překladu, rozbor vybraných překladatelských problémů a jejich řešení a typologii překladatelských postupů a posunů. The first part is a translation of a selected chapter from the book Être hôtesse de l'air ou steward by the French author Louis-Marie Barnier, in which he provides a detailed description of the cabin crew profession. The second, theoretical part comprises a commentary focusing on the translation analysis based on a model by Christiane Nord, the translation method, the selected translation problems and their solutions and a typology of translation procedures and shifts.
