Diplomová práce Smrt jako klíč k pochopení smyslu života: Filosofické úvahy o životě v kontextu jeho konečnosti se zaměřuje na vliv existencialistické filosofie na pochopení smyslu života z hlediska lidské smrtelnosti. První část práce je věnována širší kontextualizaci tématu prostřednictvím historicko-kulturní a psychologické perspektivy, které ukazují proměnlivost vnímání smrti a její význam pro lidskou zkušenost. Následující část práce stručně nastiňuje, jak byla smrt reflektována v dějinách filosofie, a ukazuje základní proměny jejího chápání, větší důraz je pak věnován předchůdcům existencialismu - Arthuru Schopenhauerovi, Sørenu Kierkegaardovi a Friedrichu Nietzschemu. Stěžejní část práce analyzuje myšlenky klíčových představitelů existencialismu, jako jsou Martin Heidegger, Jean-Paul Sartre a Albert Camus, a jejich pohledy na smrt jako ústřední motiv lidské existence. Pro lepší filosofické ukotvení pak práce nastiňuje pojetí smrti nejen současníků výše zmíněných představitelů existencialismu, ale také modernější filosofická pojetí. Práce zkoumá, jak myšlenka konečnosti ovlivňuje hodnotu času, vztahů a autentického bytí, a propojuje smrt s hlubším prožíváním života. Práce se věnuje otázkám, jaké nabízí existencialismus nástroje ke smíření s konečností a jak smrt formuje naše životní volby a... The thesis Death as the key to understanding the meaning of life: Philosophical reflections on life in the context of its finitude focuses on the influence of existentialist philosophy on the understanding of the meaning of life from the perspective of human mortality. The first part of the thesis provides a broader contextualisation of the topic through historical-cultural and psychological pespectives, which demonstrate the variability in the perception of death and its significance for human experience. The following section briefly outlines how death has been reflected in the history of philosophy and presents the main transformations in its interpretation, with particular emphasis on the precursors of existentialism - Arthur Schopenhauer, Søren Kierkegaard and Friedrich Nietzsche. The central part of the thesis analyses the ideas of key representatives of existentialism, namely Martin Heidegger, Jean-Paul Sartre and Albert Camus, and their views on death as a central motif of human existence. For a more comprehensive philosophical grounding, the thesis also considers the conceptions of death found not only in the works of contemporaries of the aforementioned thinkers, but also in more recent philosophical approaches.
