Diplomová práce se zabývá profesní připraveností učitelů mateřských škol pro práci s dvouletými dětmi. Teoretická část vychází z českého i mezinárodního kontextu předškolního vzdělávání a péče a soustředí se na postavení dětí mladších tří let v mateřských školách, kurikulární rámec jejich vzdělávání, zahraniční inspirace v oblasti předškolního vzdělávání a péče (early childhood education and care, ECEC) i na vývojové, psychické a didaktické souvislosti předškolního vzdělávání a péče o děti mladší tří let. Dále je pozornost věnována profesní připravenosti učitele mateřské školy, jeho kompetencím, profesní a organizační podpoře a významu přípravného i dalšího vzdělávání. Empirická část práce je zaměřena na to, jak učitelé mateřských škol vnímají svou odbornou připravenost na práci s dvouletými dětmi, v jakých oblastech se cítí kompetentní, kde naopak vnímají nejistotu a jaké hlavní výzvy při práci s touto věkovou skupinou popisují. Současně sleduje, jaké formy profesní a organizační podpory považují za nejvíce potřebné pro kvalitní pedagogickou práci. Výzkumné šetření je koncipováno v rámci kvalitativního výzkumného paradigmatu a využívá polostrukturované rozhovory s učiteli mateřských škol. This thesis examines the professional preparedness of preschool teachers to work with two-year-old children. The theoretical section draws on both the Czech and international contexts of early childhood education and care and focuses on the status of children under three years of age in preschools, the curricular framework for their education, international inspiration in the field of early childhood education and care (early childhood education and care, ECEC), as well as the developmental, psychological, and pedagogical aspects of early childhood education and care for children under three years of age. Attention is also given to the professional preparedness of kindergarten teachers, their competencies, professional and organizational support, and the importance of initial and continuing education. The empirical part of the study focuses on how preschool teachers perceive their professional readiness to work with two-year-olds, in which areas they feel competent, where they feel uncertain, and what main challenges they describe when working with this age group. At the same time, it examines what forms of professional and organizational support they consider most necessary for high-quality pedagogical work.
