Odhad pohlaví lidských ostatků je klíčovým prvkem forenzní antropologie a bioarcheologie, který se uplatňuje při sestavení biologického profilu jedince a při rekonstrukci demografických charakteristik populací. Tato bakalářská práce srovnává morfologické, genetické a biochemické metody pro odhad pohlaví s důrazem na jejich robustnost, spolehlivost, přesnost, výhody, nevýhody, popř. specifická omezení. Práce potvrzuje, že pánevní kost zůstává nejspolehlivějším indikátorem s přesností 95 %, zatímco metody založené na lebce jsou zatíženy vyšší chybou v důsledku populační variability. V posledních letech jsou na vzestupu moderní zobrazovací metody, které umožňují detailní a kvantitativní analýzu kosterních struktur a přispívají ke zvýšení objektivity a reprodukovatelnosti výsledků. V případech fragmentárních nálezů nebo juvenilních jedinců, kde morfologické metody selhávají, se jako klíčové jeví metody genetické či biochemické. Genetické metody jsou založeny na analýze DNA a specifických markerů a nabízejí přesnost blížící se 100 %. Jejich úspěšnost však závisí na kvalitě biologického materiálu a vyžadují specializovaná zařízení. Biochemické metody, zejména analýza amelogeninu ze zubní skloviny, představují inovativní přístup s přesností pohybující se mezi 98-100 %. Takto vysoké přesnosti dosahují díky... Sex estimation of human remains is a key component of forensic anthropology and bioarcheology, playing a crucial role in the construction of the biological profile of an individual and in the reeconstruction of population demography. This bachelor's thesis compares morphological, genetic, and biochemical methods for sex estimation, emphasizing their robustness, reliability, accuracy, advantages, and specific limitations. The thesis confirms that the pelvic bone remains the most reliable indicator, with an accuracy of approximately 95 %, whereas methods based on cranial features are associated with higher error rates due to population variability. In recent years, modern imagining technologies have been increasingly applied, enabling detailed and quantitive analysis of skeletal structrures and contributing to greater objectivity and reproducibility of results. In cases of fragmentary remains or juvenile individuals, where morphologial methods are limited or inconclusive, genetic and biochemical approaches become essential.
