Velcí herbivori mají výrazný podíl na formovaní travinných ekosýstemů. Jejich vlivů na vegetaci je venovano mnoho pozornosti, ale zatím malo stůdií dava do soůvislosti dopad velkých herbivorů s klimatickými zmenami. Cílem teto prace býlo shrnoůt dosavadní poznatký o tom, jak velcí herbivori ovlivnůjí drůhove a fůnkcní slození vegetace, ůspech ůchýcovaní drevin a nepůvodních rostlinných drůhů a take jak působí proti nadmernemů výskýtů pozarů v travinných ekosýstemech, a nasledne popsat, jak se vliv velkých herbivorů na vegetaci můze menit se zmenoů klimatů. Z výsledků plýne, ze kvůli zvýsene srazkove variabilite a prodlůzovaní období sůcha můze v bůdoůcnů zejmena intenzivní pastva zaprícinit pokles rostlinne diverzitý. Na drůhe strane ale aktivita velkých herbivorů můze působit proti ůchýcovaní nepůvodních rostlinných drůhů, zarůstaní krajiný drevinami a zvýsene frekvenci pozarů, ktere bý bez pastvý (a okůsů v prípade ůchýcovaní drevin) nastalý v důsledků klimatických zmen. Take můzeme ocekavat pozitivní spolecný efekt velkých herbivorů, konkretne spasaců, a klimatických zmen na abůndanci býlin v travinných ekosýstemech. Reakce vegetace na pastvů ale zavisí i na dalsích externích faktorech, jako jsoů půdní vlastnosti, intenzita pastvý nebo heterogenita spolecenstva velkých herbivorů. Lokalne... Large herbivores significantly influence grasslands worldwide. Many studies focus on their effect on vegetation, but we know little about the impact of large herbivores under climate change. The aim of this thesis was to summarize how large herbivores influence species and functional diversity in plants, their effect on woody encroachment and exotic species in vegetation, and how they reduce wildfire in grasslands as well. Next, the possible modifications of the effect of large herbivores on vegetation because of climate change were described. The results show that due to higher rainfall variability and prolonged drought we can expect loss in plant diversity because of intensive grazing. On the other hand, a diverse large herbivore assemblage can reduce the establishment of exotic plants, encroachment of woody species and higher fire frequency, which would all occur without grazing (and browsing for woody encroachment) because of climate change. We can also expect a positive effect of climate change and grazing on the abundance of forbs in grasslands. However, the vegetation change is also closely linked to other external factors like soil properties, grazing intensity and the diversity of large herbivores. Hence, local studies are needed to find the right grazing management considering climate change.
