cze Abstract:
Metoda počítání subfosilních zbytků perlooček byla upravena...(EN) The current rapid global warming is causing environmental changes, but it is very difficult to predict how these changes will evolve. The changes are likely to affect a wide range of ecosystems, including mountain lakes in the treeline ecotone. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the impact of an analogous climate change at the beginning of the Holocene on the diversity and species composition of cladoceran fauna (Crustacea: Cladocera) in this lake type by studying lake sediments from three sites in the Bohemian Forest, which were analysed at high temporal resolution. This study was based on the assumption that, shortly after the start of the Holocene (i.e., shortly after 11,650 cal a BP), rising average annual air temperatures and the upward shift of the treeline led to increased accumulation of organic matter in lake sediments. These environmental changes likely also affected the water chemistry and altered the conditions for aquatic organisms, including cladocerans. Based on the loss-on-ignition method, a criterion was established for identifying the onset of a sharp increase in organic matter accumulation. To facilitate the generalization of the results obtained, sediments from three sites were studied; these sites are located at a similar elevation (around 1,100 m a.s.l.) and are...
