Praktická část byla realizována formou dotazníkového šetření, analýzy jídelníčků a laboratorního měření hladin celkového IgE, CRP, jaterních enzymů a vitaminů A, D, E, B1, B6 a betakarotenu. Závěry práce naznačují, že management dospělého atopika by se měl odklonit od plošných restriktivních diet a...This thesis examines the effect of nutrition on the manifestation of atopic eczema. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of specific foods on the symptoms of the disease and to compare dietary habits with selected serum parameters. The practical part was conducted in the form of a questionnaire survey, analysis of dietary records, and laboratory measurements of total IgE, CRP, liver enzymes, and vitamins A, D, E, B1, B6, and beta-carotene levels. The survey results confirmed that 44 % of respondents perceive diet as a direct trigger for worsening skin condition, with citrus fruits, chocolate, and alcohol being the most frequently identified irritants. However, laboratory analysis did not demonstrate a statistically significant correlation between the elimination of these foods and total IgE levels. It therefore appears that in adult atopic individuals, the issue is more often nonspecific hypersensitivity than a classic allergic reaction. The greatest benefit of the nutritional intervention was a statistically significant increase in vitamin A levels, which is key to skin barrier regeneration. For vitamin D, the necessity of supplementation to correct severe deficiencies was confirmed. The research further demonstrated a strong influence of non-dietary factors, particularly stress (77 %)...
