Bakalářská práce analyzuje postoje obyvatel členských států Evropské unie v letech 1997-2025 k její možné federalizaci. V práci dochází k porovnání intergovernmentálního a supranacionálního přístupu k integraci, což je zásadní pro pochopení postojů k možné federalizaci. V práci je využita politologická definice federací, ze které vycházejí charakteristické oblasti, kde drží pravomoci federální úrovně vládnutí federací. Tyto charakteristické oblasti slouží k vytvoření ukazatele podpory federalizace Evropské unie za využití dat průzkumů veřejného mínění Eurobarometru. Na základě vytvořeného ukazatele podpory federalizace EU je dále podpora prostorově porovnávána mezi jednotlivými státy a za využití analýzy časových řad je interpretováno, jaké (geo)politické události mají na podporu federalizace Evropské unie největší vliv. Klíčová slova: Evropská unie, federace, federalizace Evropské unie, supranacionalita, integrace The bachelor thesis analyzes the attitudes of European Union member state citizens toward its potential federalization between 1997 and 2025. The work compares intergovernmental and supranational approaches to integration, which is essential for understanding attitudes toward potential federalization. The thesis utilizes a political science definition of federations to identify characteristic areas where the federal level of governance holds authority. These characteristic areas are used to create an indicator of support for the federalization of the European Union, utilizing data from Eurobarometer public opinion surveys. Based on the created indicator, support is spatially compared across individual states, and using time series analysis, the thesis interprets which (geo)political events have the most significant influence on support for the federalization of the European Union.
