cze Abstract:
Výsledky ukázaly vysokou interindividuální variabilitu melatoninových profilů i velikosti melatoninové suprese. Celkové skóre dotazníku nekorelovalo s fyziologickou odpovědí. Jednoduché sebehodnocení v jedné otázce vykázalo silnou negativní korelaci s AUC suprese. Práce poskytuje základní charakterizaci vztahu mezi subjektivní a fyziologickou citlivostí na světlo a upozorňuje na potřebu validace nástrojůpro hodnocení subjektivní světelné citlivosti. Individuals differ in their sensitivity to light, which may influence both subjective light perception and physiological responses. The aim of this study was to characterize individuals with different levels of subjective light sensitivityandto assess the relationshipbetweensubjective measures andacute melatoninsuppressionfollowinga light pulse. In twenty volunteers, salivary melatonin profiles were measured together with acute melatonin suppression induced by a standardized light stimulus. Subjective sensitivity was assessed using a newly developed light sensitivity questionnaire. Parameters of the melatonin rhythm, sleeptiming, andthe relationshipbetweensubjective andphysiologicalsensitivitywere analyzed. The results revealed high interindividual variability in melatonin profiles and in the magnitude of melatonin suppression. The total questionnaire score did not correlate with the physiological response, whereas a single self-assessment item showed a strong negative correlation with the AUC of suppression. This study provides a basic characterization of the relationship between subjective and physiological light sensitivity and highlights the need for validation of tools...
