Překládaná bakalářská práce se věnuje analýze a zhodnocení vlivu v celostátním kole Geografické olympiádě na rozhodování o volbě vysoké školy a konkrétního studijního oboru. Dílčím cílem šetření je analýza a zhodnocení motivace pro rozhodnutí zúčastnit se jako soutěžící Geografické olympiády. V rámci praktické části byly realizovány polostrukturované rozhovory s vybranými účastníky Geografické olympiády, kteří byli úspěšnými řešiteli celostátního kola v kategorii D. Pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu byly nalezeny odpovědi na šest výzkumných otázek, a zároveň byly popsány postoje jednotlivých respondentů. A secondary objective of the study is to analyze and evaluate the motivation for participating as a competitor in the Geography Olympiad. As part of the practical section, semi-structured interviews were performed with selected participants in the Geography Olympiad who successfully competitors in the national round in Category D. Through qualitative research, answers to six research questions were found, and the attitudes of individual respondents were described.
