Bakalářská práce Star of hope – Tajemství ostrovů je tvořena hudebním albem Star of Hope a na něj navazující sérií videoklipů, potažmo videoklipovým filmem Tajemství ostrovů. Námět této práce vznikal pozvolna během posledních dvou let, kdy jsem se intenzivněji začala zajímat o tvorbu a život české zpěvačky Jany Uriel Kratochvílové. Na albu coveruji písně Kratochvílové napříč její hudební kariérou, mísím žánry originálních písní se svou hudební praxí a dávám nový kontext textům. Právě skrze texty písní a život Kratochvílové se dostávám k dalším tématům mé práce, které zpracovávám ve videoklipovém filmu. Hlavními motivy jsou na jedné straně vykořeněnost, ztráta a nalézání domova, naděje a současná spiritualita a na druhé sebevyjádření a mediální obraz žen v hudebním průmyslu. The bachelor's thesis Star of hope – The Secret of the Islands consists of the music album Star of Hope and the accompanying series of video clips, and the video clip film The Secret of the Islands. The subject of this work gradually emerged over the last two years, when I became more interested in the work and life of the Czech singer Jana Uriel Kratochvílová. On the album, I cover Kratochvílová's songs from across her musical career, mixing the genres of original songs with my musical practice and giving a new context to the lyrics. It is through the lyrics and Kratochvílová's life that I come to other themes of my work, which I deal with in the video clip film. The main motifs are, on the one hand, uprootedness, loss and finding home, hope and contemporary spirituality, and, on the other, self-expression and the media image of women in the music industry.
