Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou hospodářského vývoje sjednocené Spolkové republiky Německo a charakteristikou jejího postavení v rámci Evropské unie. Vývoj německé ekonomiky je popsán v prvních třech kapitolách za využití základních makroekonomických ukazatelů (růst HDP, míra inflace, nezaměstnanost a zahraniční obchod). První kapitola je zaměřena na německou ekonomiku v 90. letech 20. století, druhá kapitola se soustředí na vývoj ekonomiky SRN od počátku třetího tisíciletí do roku 2007 a třetí kapitola se věnuje německé ekonomice od nástupu krize do roku 2010. Závěrečná kapitola poukazuje na důležitost Spolkové republiky Německo v procesu evropské integrace. The thesis deals with an analysis of economic development of the unified Germany and provides characteristics of its position within the European Union. In the first three chapters basic economic indicators (GDP growth, inflation rate, unemployment and foreign trade) are used in order to describe German economic development. The first chapter focuses on the German economy in the 1990s, the second chapter is concerned with the German economic development from the beginning of the third millennium till the year 2007 and the third chapter deals with the German economy from the rise of the crisis till the year 2010. The last chapter points out the role of Germany within the European integration process.
