This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the development of a real-time strategy game using the Unity game engine. The game world is procedurally generated using noise functions and Poisson disk sampling. Following a summary of the current state of the art in game development, procedural generation, and game artificial intelligence, a colony simulator is designed and implemented, which agents autonomously decide on their behavior using a combination of goal-oriented action planning and a state machine, navigate using the A* algorithm, and respond to the daily cycle, resource management, and enemy raids. The result is a functional implementation of the proposed concept.
