Napájanie bolo zabezpečené laborátórnym zdrojom a vysokonapäťovým DC meničom.
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to analyze novel unconventional actuators developed over the past ten years, to describe the operating principle of a dielectric elastomer actuator (DEA), to develop its mathematical-physical model and to implement a physical model. The thesis focuses on the effects of Maxwell stress and the mechanical response of the elastomer. A simplified balance between electrostatic pressure and mechanical resistance was developed, enabling the simulation of elastomer deformation under different voltage values. The model was implemented in MATLAB and Simulink. In the experimental part, a simplified DEA model was created from a frame made of PETG, 3M VHB 4910 elastomer, colloidal graphite and aluminum conductive tape. The power supply was provided by a laboratory power supply and a high-voltage DC converter. However, it was not possible to achieve visible deformation of the membrane experimentally. The main causes were identified as insufficient mechanical preload, inhomogeneous electric field and choosing an unsuitable DC converter. The result point to the principles of DEA operation and the possibilities of their optimalization. This model is suitable for soft robotics and precision microactuators.
