Nástup metod počítačového vidění a umělé inteligence otevírá nové možnosti v oblasti včelařství.
The emergence of computer vision and artificial intelligence methods is opening up new possibilities in the field of beekeeping. This thesis focuses on the identification of the Varroa destructor using artificial intelligence. The text describes the entire subject, ranging from the biological background and current monitoring methods, through the principles of image processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning, to an analysis of available tools, libraries, and existing solutions. The thesis includes the selection of a recognition approach, the preparation of hive debris, the acquisition of images, and their annotation in Label Studio to create a custom dataset. The model was trained using the YOLO26 architecture, and validation on the validation dataset achieved a recall of 94.4 %. Training and validation were performed in the Visual Studio Code development environment using the Python programming language. Finally, a camera module was integrated for automated evaluation.
