Má bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na syndrom mizejícího dvojčete, který nejčastěji nastává v rané fázi těhotenství, kdy matka očekává dvojčata. Jeden z plodů se přestane vyvíjet, přičemž druhý zárodek pokračuje bez problému a omezení ve vývinu. Mizející embryo je pak absorbováno prosperujícím plodem a matkou, až postupně zmizí úplně. Instalace se skládá z voskových embryí a videa zachycujícího postupné rozpouštění jednoho z nich. Mizející embryo odkapává na přežívající dvojče, čímž symbolicky vytváří vztah mezi zánikem a pokračováním života, zatímco samotný proces rozpouštění zprostředkovává pocit viny i intimní charakter této zkušenosti. Proměna a deformace mizejícího embrya symbolizují postupné vytrácení potenciální existence života. Instalace zkoumá osobní prožitek neodmyslitelně spojený s tímto procesem a zároveň přibližuje syndrom mizejícího dvojčete širší veřejnosti. My bachelor’s thesis focuses on vanishing twin syndrome, which most often occurs in the early stages of pregnancy when a mother is expecting twins. One of the fetuses stops developing, while the other continues to develop without any problems or limitations. The vanishing embryo is then absorbed by the thriving fetus and the mother until it gradually disappears completely. The installation consists of wax embryos and a video capturing the gradual dissolution of one of them. The vanishing embryo drips onto the surviving twin, symbolically creating a relationship between the end of life and its continuation, while the very process of dissolution conveys a sense of guilt as well as the intimate nature of this experience. The transformation and deformation of the disappearing embryo symbolize the gradual fading of a potential existence. The installation explores the personal experience inextricably linked to this process while also bringing the vanishing twin syndrome to the attention of the general public.
