This thesis focuses on radioanalytical methods of prompt (PGNAA) and delayed (DGNAA) gamma activation analysis. The principles of neutron activation, gamma spectrometry and differences between the two methods are described. The experimental part describes the design and implementation of a measuring setup in the laboratory of ionizing radiation at FEKT VUT in Brno with 241AmBe neutron source. Measurements were performer on samples of holmium, cobalt and sodium chloride. In the spectrum of sodium chloride, the peaks of sodium, chlorine and hydrogen were succesfully identified. The results are compared with foreign works, the properities of the methods and possibilities for improvement of the measuring setup are discussed.
