Tématem této diplomové práce je architektonická studie severovýchodní části areálu ZOO Brno, takzvaného hospodářského dvora, který by měl obsahovat většinu technických provozů důležitých pro chod zahrady. Studie je založena na konkrétním zadání vytvořeném chovateli a vedením ZOO. Účelem studie bylo vytvoření možné varianty řešení území a tří nejdůležitějších objektů, což může dále sloužit jako podklad pro rozvoj a modernizaci. Nejdůležitějšími objekty v řešeném území jsou budovy chovatelského objektu, karanténa a veterinární ordinace, které jsou dále řešeny v této práci. Chovatelský objekt sdružuje chov ptáků, malých šelem, primátů, obojživelníků, ostatních malých savců s chovem velkých šelem a velkých kopytníků. Tento objekt obsahuje chovy zvířat, která nejsou vhodná k vystavování návštěvníkům, a bude pravděpodobně sloužit i jako CITES centrum. Karanténa přebírá nová zvířata před umístěním do ZOO, umožňuje provádění pitev uhynulých zvířat nebo v případech nákazy separaci infekčních zvířat. Přidružený je také kafilerní box pro ostatky zvířat, který musí být přístupný z vnější strany areálu ZOO. Budova veterinární ordinace slouží jako centrum lékařské péče pro většinu druhů zvířat v zahradě a je doplněna auditoriem pro studenty z veterinární fakulty. Řešené území je svažité a v současnosti se tam nachází řada stavebně i funkčně nevyhovujících objektů, u nichž se předpokládá demolice. The subject of this master's thesis is an architectural study of the northeastern part of the Brno Zoo premises, the so-called economic yard, which is intended to accommodate most of the technical operations essential for the running of the zoo. The study is based on a specific brief formulated by the breeders and the management of the Brno Zoo. The purpose of the study was to develop a feasible design variant for the area and its three most critical facilities, which can subsequently serve as a baseline for future development and modernization. The most prominent structures within the analyzed area are the breeding facility, the quarantine station, and the veterinary clinic. The breeding facility integrates the husbandry of birds, small carnivores, primates, amphibians, and other small mammals with the breeding of large carnivores and large ungulates. This facility houses animals that are unsuitable for public display and will likely also serve as a CITES centre. The quarantine station receives new animals prior to their introduction to the zoo, facilitates necropsies of deceased animals, and enables the isolation of infectious animals in the event of disease outbreaks. It also includes an adjacent knackery box for animal remains, which must be accessible from outside the zoo premises. The veterinary clinic building serves as a medical care hub for the majority of the zoo's animal species and is complemented by an auditorium for students from the faculty of veterinary medicine. The site under study is sloped and currently contains a number of structurally and functionally inadequate facilities earmarked for demolition.
