Diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem revitalizace a doplnění urbanistické struktury v historickém centru města Prostějova se zaměřením na jeho jižní část. Návrh reaguje na současný stav území, jeho urbanistické nedostatky a potřebu vytvoření kvalitního veřejného prostoru s novými funkcemi pro obyvatele města. Hlavním principem návrhu je respektování historické stopy zástavby a navrácení původního městského charakteru lokality prostřednictvím citlivého doplnění nové architektury. Součástí návrhu je vytvoření komunitního bydlení, komunitního centra s kavárnou, restaurací a coworkingem, přístavba kulturního a společenského centra s galerií a administrativním zázemím, denní stacionář pro seniory s ordinací a doplnění občanské vybavenosti v podobě zázemí pro církevní a svatební akce. Návrh dále rozvíjí veřejná prostranství, podporuje pěší prostupnost území a posiluje sociální a komunitní vazby v centru města. Cílem práce je navrhnout funkční a udržitelnou městskou strukturu, která naváže na historický vývoj území a současně nabídne nové možnosti pro kulturní, společenský a každodenní život obyvatel Prostějova. This diploma thesis focuses on the revitalization and completion of the urban structure in the historical center of the city of Prostějov, specifically its southern part. The proposal responds to the current condition of the area, its urban deficiencies, and the need to create high-quality public spaces with new functions for the city’s inhabitants. The main principle of the design is the respect for the historical building pattern and the restoration of the original urban character of the locality through the sensitive integration of contemporary architecture. The proposal includes community housing, a community center with a café, restaurant, and coworking spaces, an extension of the cultural and social center with a gallery and administrative facilities, a day-care center for seniors with a medical office, and additional civic amenities serving wedding events. The design further develops public spaces, supports pedestrian permeability, and strengthens social and community relationships within the city center. The aim of the thesis is to design a functional and sustainable urban structure that follows the historical development of the area while offering new opportunities for cultural, social, and everyday life in Prostějov.
