This bachelor thesis focuses on the design, construction, and testing of a custom-built segmented robot designed for mapping piping systems. The first part presents a review of potential pipe locomotion principles, taking into account the segmented topology of the robot. Based on a theoretical comparison, a specific locomotion principle is selected and used as the foundation for the original design of the segmented robot. The components were subsequently manufactured using 3D printing technology and subjected to practical testing. The result is a functional construction of a segmented robot capable of navigating through DN125 pipes.
