Používa gramatiky s rozptýleným kontextom kombinované s pravidlami z lineárnych, ľavo-lineárnych a pravo-lineárnych gramatík. Program napísaný v jazyku C++ generuje hudobné pasáže pomocou navrhnutých gramatík a vytvára skladby vo formáte midi.
The goal of this work is to generate musical passages using various phrase-structure grammars. These grammars are based on music theory and various patterns that have been used by musicians in the past with concrete examples from some songs. It uses scattered context grammars combined with rules from linear, left-linear and right-linear grammars. It suggest a way to represent notes as a combination of symbols representing their pitch, duration and octave. Each symbol represents an offset from some root, which can have a different meaning depending on the context. A program written in C++ generates musical passages using suggested grammars and creates a song in midi format.
