[cze][eng] Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá ošetřovatelskou péčí o dutinu ústní u hospitalizovaných pacientů na interním oddělení. Cílem práce bylo zmapovat roli sestry v péči o dutinu ústní a zjistit, jak se liší péče v závislosti na míře soběstačnosti pacientů. Na základě stanovených cílů byly formulovány výzkumné otázky, které jsou zaměřeny na roli sestry, na způsob realizace péče o dutinu ústní a na rozdíly v péči dle soběstačnosti pacientů. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na problematiku péče o dutinu ústní, její význam, používané pomůcky a metodiku čištění chrupu. Dále je popsána role sestry, edukace pacientů, hodnocení jejich soběstačnosti a možná onemocnění dutiny ústní, která mohou vzniknout během hospitalizace. Empirická část byla realizována pomocí kvalitativní metody, a to formou skrytého zúčastněného pozorování a polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se sestrami. Rozhovory byly vedeny se šesti sestrami z interního oddělení Nemocnice České Budějovice a.s.. Do výzkumu byly zařazeny sestry, které měly v době realizace výzkumu směnu na daném oddělení a souhlasily s pozorováním a následným rozhovorem. Při pozorování byly sledovány předem stanovené ukazatele ošetřovatelské péče. Výsledky této práce ukazují, že péče o dutinu ústní je nepostradatelnou součástí ošetřovatelské péče, ale v praxi není vždy prováděna důsledně či je často opomíjená. V rámci pozorování byly zjištěny nedostatky zejména v oblasti bariérové ochrany a kontroly dutiny ústní před zahájením péče. Z rozhovorů vyplynulo, že sestry si uvědomují důležitost péče o dutinu ústní, ale její realizace je ovlivněna řadou faktorů, jako je pracovní vytížení či nespolupráce pacientů. Dále bylo zjištěno, že péče o dutinu ústní se liší dle soběstačnosti pacientů. U soběstačných pacientů sestra především jen dohlíží či dopomáhá, zatímco u nesoběstačných pacientů tuto péči přebírá sestra. Výsledky této práce mohou sloužit k edukaci zdravotnického personálu a k tvorbě standardizovaných postupů vedoucích ke zkvalitnění péče o dutinu ústní. This bachelor's thesis examines oral care for hospitalized patients in the internal medicine department. The aim of the thesis was to map the role of nurses in oral care and to determine how care differs depending on the patients' level of independence. Based on these objectives, research questions were formulated focusing on the role of nurses, the methods of providing oral care, and differences in care based on patients' self-sufficiency. The theoretical section of the thesis addresses the issue of oral care, its importance, the tools used, and tooth-cleaning methods. It also describes the role of nurses, patient education, the assessment of patients' self-sufficiency, and potential oral diseases that may arise during hospitalization. The empirical part was conducted using a qualitative method, specifically through covert participant observation and semi-structured interviews with nurses. Interviews were conducted with six nurses from the Internal Medicine Department of Nemocnice České Budějovice a.s. The study included nurses who were on duty in the department at the time of the research and agreed to be observed and interviewed. During the observation, predefined indicators of nursing care were monitored. The results of this study show that oral care is an indispensable part of nursing care, but in practice it is not always performed consistently or is often neglected. Observations revealed shortcomings, particularly in the areas of barrier protection and oral cavity assessment prior to the initiation of care. Interviews revealed that nurses recognize the importance of oral care, but its implementation is influenced by a number of factors, such as workload or patient non-cooperation. It was also found that oral care varies depending on patients' level of independence. For independent patients, the nurse primarily supervises or assists, while for dependent patients, the nurse takes over this care. The results of this study can be used to educate healthcare personnel and to develop standardized procedures leading to improved oral care.
