[cze][eng] Úvod: Kulturní a náboženské aspekty představují významný faktor ovlivňující poskytování ošetřovatelské péče. V souvislosti s rostoucí diverzitou pacientů v českém zdravotnictví narůstá potřeba poskytovat péči, která respektuje individuální kulturní a náboženské potřeby pacientů. Judaismus jako komplexní systém víry a pravidel významně ovlivňuje rozhodování v oblasti zdraví, nemoci i ošetřovatelských postupů. Metodika: Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zmapovat specifické potřeby pacientů židovského vyznání, analyzovat jejich zkušenosti s ošetřovatelskou péčí a zhodnotit připravenost sester na poskytování kulturně shodné péče. K dosažení cílů byla použita kombinace kvalitativního a kvantitativního výzkumného šetření. Kvalitativní část byla realizována formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s pacienty židovského vyznání a kvantitativní část prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření mezi sestrami pracujícími v ČR. Výsledky: Výsledky ukázaly, že sestry mají rezervy ve znalostech o specifikách judaismu, přičemž vyšší úroveň vzdělání souvisí s vyšší subjektivně vnímanou úrovní znalostí. Naopak nebyla prokázána souvislost mezi délkou praxe a subjektivně vnímanou připraveností sester poskytovat kulturně shodnou péči. Více než polovina respondentů vnímá zdravotnická zařízení jako nedostatečně přizpůsobená potřebám pacientů z odlišného kulturního prostředí, především v oblasti stravování a absence standardizovaných postupů. Kvalitativní část poukázala na význam empatického a respektujícího přístupu zdravotnického personálu, který může pozitivně ovlivnit vnímání péče i přes nedostatky v oblasti znalostí. Současně byly identifikovány problémy v komunikaci, nedostatečná informovanost personálu a obavy pacientů z odhalení jejich náboženské identity. Závěr: Bakalářská práce přináší komplexní pohled na problematiku kulturně kompetentní péče o pacienty židovského vyznání v českém zdravotnictví. Výsledky poukazují na potřebu systematického vzdělávání zdravotnického personálu a zlepšení podmínek ve zdravotnických zařízeních, které by umožnily efektivnější naplňování individuálních potřeb pacientů. Introduction: Cultural and religious aspects represent an important factor influencing the provision of nursing care. In the context of increasing diversity of patients within the Czech healthcare system, there is a growing need to provide care that respects individual cultural and religious needs. Judaism, as a complex system of beliefs and practices, significantly influences decision-making in the areas of health, illness, and nursing care. Methodology: The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to map the specific needs of patients of Jewish faith, to analyse their experiences with nursing care, and to evaluate the preparedness of nurses to provide culturally competent care. To achieve this aim, a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods was used. The qualitative part was conducted through semi-structured interviews with Jewish patients, while the quantitative part was carried out using a questionnaire survey among nurses. Results: The results showed that nurses' knowledge of the specifics of Judaism is rather low, while a higher level of education is associated with a higher self-perceived level of knowledge. No significant relationship was found between the length of professional practice and the preparedness to provide culturally competent care. More than half of the respondents perceived healthcare facilities as insufficiently adapted to the needs of patients from different cultural backgrounds, particularly in the area of dietary requirements and the absence of standardized procedures. The qualitative findings highlighted the importance of an empathetic and respectful approach by healthcare staff, which can positively influence patients' perception of care despite existing knowledge gaps. At the same time, issues related to communication, insufficient staff awareness, and patients' concerns about revealing their religious identity were identified. Conclusion: This thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the issue of culturally competent care for patients of Jewish faith in the Czech healthcare system. The findings highlight the need for systematic education of healthcare professionals and improvements in healthcare settings that would enable more effective fulfilment of patients' individual needs.
