Diplomová práce se zabývá motivací učitelů středních škol v různých fázích jejich profesní dráhy. Hlavním cílem práce je identifikovat a porovnat motivační faktory učitelůa porozumět tomu, jak se jejichmotivace v průběhu profesního života proměňuje. Téma motivace učitelůje v současnosti aktuální zejména v souvislosti s náročností učitelské profese, rostoucími požadavky na pedagogy a potřebou udržet kvalifikované učitele ve školství. Teoretická část vymezuje pojem motivace, představuje vybrané teorie motivace a charakterizuje specifika učitelské profese včetně faktorů,které ji ovlivňují.Zároveňse věnuje proměnám profesní dráhy učitele a jejich vlivu na pracovní motivaci. Empirická část je založena na kvalitativním výzkumu realizovaném prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s dvanácti učiteli střední školy, kteří byli rozděleni do tří skupin podle délky pedagogické praxe. Získaná data byla analyzována pomocí tematické analýzy. Výsledky ukazují, že klíčovým zdrojem motivace učitelů je vnitřní motivace, zejména pocit smysluplnosti práce a vztah k práci se studenty. Motivace se v průběhu profesní dráhy proměňuje od počátečního idealismu přes stabilizovanější a realističtější přístup až po dlouhodobě ukotvenou motivaci založenou na zkušenosti. The main aim of the thesis is to identify and compare the motivational factors of teachers and to understand how their motivation changes throughout their professional lives.The topic of teacher motivationis currentlyhighlyrelevant,particularly in relation to the demanding nature of the teaching profession, increasing expectations placed on teachers, and the need to retain qualified educators in the education system. The theoretical part defines the concept of motivation,presents selectedtheories of motivation, and characterizes the specifics of the teaching profession, including the factors that influence it. It also addresses the stages of a teacher's professional career and their impact on work motivation. The empirical part is based on qualitative research conducted through semi- structured interviews with twelve secondary school teachers, who were divided into three groups according to the length of their teaching experience. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis.
