Tato diplomová práce zkoumá faktory, které motivovaly studenty k volbě oboru učitelství biologie. Teoretická část práce se věnuje současným problémům českého školství, z nichž ten nejvýraznější je nedostatek kvalifikovaných učitelů. Většina výzkumu sleduje obecnou motivaci k volbě učitelské profese. Tato práce se zaměřuje výhradně na motivace studentů prvního ročníku bakalářského studia učitelství biologie. Zkoumá jak motivační faktory vedoucí k učitelství obecně, tak faktory vedoucí k volbě specializace v biologii. Jednotlivé motivační faktory jsou zkoumány prostřednictvím dotazníkové šetření, které kombinuje kvantitativní a kvalitativní metody. Výsledky dotazníkového šetření prokazují, že mezi nejvýznamnější motivační faktory respondentů patří možnost ovlivnit rozvoj žáků, prospěšnost učitelské profese a skutečnost, že učitelství je považováno za stabilní pracovní pozici. Naopak u faktoru výše učitelského platu respondenti deklarují, že na jejich rozhodování neměl žádný vliv. KLÍČOVÁ SLOVA motivace, učitelství, biologie, studium, profese This master's thesis examines the factors that motivated students to choose a degree in biology education. The theoretical part of the thesis addresses current issues in the Czech education system, the most significant of which is the shortage of qualified teachers. Most existing research focuses on general motivation for choosing the teaching profession. This thesis, however, focuses exclusively on the motivations of first-year bachelor's students in biology education. It explores both the motivational factors leading to the choice of teaching in general and those influencing the choice of specialization in biology. Individual motivational factors are investigated through a questionnaire survey that combines quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of the survey show that the most significant motivational factors for respondents include the opportunity to influence students' development, the social value of the teaching profession, and the perception of teaching as a stable career. In contrast, respondents stated that the level of teachers' salaries had no influence on their decision-making. KEYWORDS motivation, teaching, biology, studies, profession
