Kudlanka nábožná (Mantis religiosa) představuje v kontextu středoevropské entomofauny jeden z nejvýraznějších příkladů druhů, které v posledních desetiletích procházejí dramatickou expanzí areálu výskytu. Původní výskyt v České republice, úzce vymezený na nejteplejší oblasti jižní Moravy, je v současnosti nahrazován plošným šířením do severnějších regionů a vyšších nadmořských výšek. Tento proces je úzce spjat s oteplováním klimatu a zvyšující se konektivitou krajiny, která díky antropogenním prvkům, jako jsou dopravní koridory, usnadňuje kolonizaci nových stanovišť. Tato práce prostřednictvím analýzy literárních pramenů a moderních nálezových dat mapuje proměnu rozšíření kudlanky nábožné na území České republiky a rozebírá tento dynamický vývoj. Hlavní pozornost je věnována porovnání dat z oficiální nálezové databáze AOPK (NDOP) s údaji získanými v rámci projektu občanské vědy, konkrétně platformy iNaturalist. Práce analyzuje faktory přispívající k úspěšné adaptaci druhu v nových oblastech a shrnuje zapojení široké veřejnosti do monitoringu biodiverzity. In the context of Central European entomofauna, the European mantis (Mantis religiosa) represents one of the most prominent examples of species undergoing a dramatic expansion of its range in recent decades. Its original occurrence in the Czech Republic, strictly limited to the warmest regions of southern Moravia, is currently being extended by a widespread dispersal into northern regions and higher altitudes. This process is closely linked to climate warming and increasing landscape connectivity, where anthropogenic features such as transport corridors facilitate the colonization of new habitats. Through the analysis of literary sources and modern occurrence data, this thesis maps the transformation of the distribution of the European mantis within the Czech Republic and examines this dynamic development. Primary focus is placed on comparing data from the official Species Occurrence Database (NDOP) with data obtained through citizen science projects, specifically the iNaturalist platform. The thesis analyzes factors contributing to the species successful adaptation in new areas and evaluates the validity of involving the general public in biodiversity monitoring.
