Prvním cílem diplomové práce je obsáhnout podstatné teoretické poznatky z controllingu a manažerského účetnictví a vztáhnout je na realitu IT oddělení společnosti StarBev. V rámci tohoto cíle jsou popsané podstata a funkce controllingu, hlavní úkoly a kompetence IT controllera, pozice controllingu v rámci organizační struktury a hlavní procesy jako jsou plánování a monitorování IT nákladů. Teoretické poznatky jsou provázané s praxí v rámci jednotlivých kapitol. Druhým cílem diplomové práce je interní benchmarking IT nákladů jednotlivých dceřiných společností. V rámci tohoto cíle je do hloubky popsaná struktura IT nákladů a detailně porovnány IT náklady jednotlivých dceřiných společností StarBev. Výsledkem je jednak porovnání v rámci jednotlivých podskupin IT nákladů, a jednak doporučení pro řízení IT nákladů vyplívající z interního benchmarkingu. Zkušenostní model IT controllingu v praxi z hlediska externího benchmarkingu se jako doplňující kapitola nachází v závěru diplomové práce. The first goal of the Master's Thesis is to describe main theoretical knowledge from controlling and managerial accounting and link the theory to reality at IT department in StarBev. First goal is resulted in definition and functions of controlling, main responsibilities and competences of IT controller, controlling versus organisational structure and main controlling processes such as planning and cost monitoring. Each chapter contains either theory, either practice in certain controlling area. Second goal of the Master's Thesis is internal benchmarking of IT spend within daughter companies in StarBev group. Result of the second goal is detailed description of cost structure, IT spend comparison in each sub-package and suggestions how to manage and drive IT spend. Model of IT controlling from external benchmarking point of view was created based on experience and is situated at the end of the thesis.
