Geotermální plays Českého masivu: identifikace, klasifikace, a potenciál zdrojů

Geothermal energy is a stable and long-term sustainable energy source and plays an important role in mitigating climate change and ensuring energy security. The aim of this thesis is to define geological domains that combine favourable conditions for heat accumulation and transfer, and on this basis create a regional classification of geothermal plays in the Bohemian Massif. Geothermal plays are defined, following the concept adapted from petroleum geology, as geological domains that share a common heat source, similar controls on heat and fluid pathways, and comparable lithological conditions that determine how thermal energy is stored and potentially recovered. The study is based on the concept of geothermal plays that divides plays according to the main heat transfer regime and geological context. Spatial analysis was used to define the plays, integrating key geological elements with a regional heat flow model, which made it possible to identify areas with higher geothermal potential. The results show that the geothermal potential of the Bohemian Massif is highly spatially variable, with most geothermal plays controlled by conduction.
