cze Abstract:
[cze][eng] Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou automatického umisťování popisů sídel v topografických mapách. Hlavním cílem bylo navrhnout a implementovat metodu, která zohledňuje kartografická pravidla, minimalizuje grafickou zaplněnost mapy a maximalizuje kontrast mezi popisem a pozadím. Na základě analýzy státního mapového díla ČR byly definovány preferenční směry popisu, které byly následně využity při výběru optimální kandidátní pozice. Algoritmus byl realizován v jazyce Python s využitím základních geografických knihoven (Shapely, GeoPandas, Rasterio). Pro měření kvality popisů byly uplatněny 4 metriky: vzdálenost od těžiště sídla, stupeň preferenčního směru od těžiště sídla, luminanční kontrast dle WCAG 2.1, grafická náplň (Barvíř 2021). Výsledky byly porovnány s referenčními popisy v Základní topografické mapě ČR 1:25 000, přičemž metoda dosáhla srovnatelných výsledků v 92 % případů. Práce potvrzuje využitelnost navrženého přístupu pro semiautonomní popis map a navrhuje směry pro další výzkum. The main objective was to design and implement a method that takes into account cartographic conventions, minimizes map clutter, and maximizes the contrast between labels and their background. Based on an analysis of the official topographic map series of the Czech Republic, preferred label directions were defined and subsequently used to identify optimal candidate positions. The algorithm was implemented in Python using core geospatial libraries (Shapely, GeoPandas, Rasterio). Four metrics were used to evaluate label quality: distance from the settlement centroid, degree of preferred direction from the centroid, luminance contrast according to WCAG 2.1, and map load (Barvíř 2021). The results were compared with reference labels in the Czech Topographic Map 1:25 000, with the method achieving comparable placements in 92% of cases. The thesis confirms the applicability of the proposed approach for semi-autonomous label placement and outlines directions for further research.
